The meeting started with a short speech of the Ambassador. He briefly presented his colleagues, his and their duties. He shared, that they are working on projects related to the development of the working environment in the Dobrudja region
.
After the speech, the small conference continued with question time. In the audience were lecturers, students, employees from the marketing team and career centre at the university. I am happy to say that everyone was there to learn and hear something new.

The question time flew very fast. However, there were many different questions related to economics, tourism in Bulgaria and education opportunities for European and Non-European students in the United States.
It was a great experience to be around people with high rank. I had a great chance to learn more about opportunities for master degree in the United States.
I was very impressed by the answers to the questions. They were concise, but descriptive at the same time and the idea behind was very clear. The Ambassador and his colleagues were open to answering all of our questions. Unfortunately, the time was short, but I am glad for the opportunity I had.

Christmas and New Year

Hello everyone. The week started with Christmas. I spend the day with my cousin. We were searching for a present for her. On Tuesday I and my family joined the other part of the family. We had great fun and a lot of food.
The cake that my dad made for the family union
On Wednesday was my name day. My sister helped me with the preparations. I gather my best friends. We celebrated with a lot of Bulgarian brandy, food and we went to a discotheque.

The rest of the days I spent travelling around, relaxing and preparing for the New Year.
On Sunday I made Bulgarian cheese pastry with fortune slips. This is the tradition in Bulgaria at twelve o'clock the so-called  "banitsa" is breaking up. Everyone gets their fortune slip for the new year.

I prepared also the salads. One of them was cabbage with carrots.

The other salad was green lettuce, spinach, radishes and spring onion. All the ingredients were homegrown in the garden, without any chemicals.

The third salad was boiled potatoes with red and spring onions.

I would like to wish to everyone the New Year to be better than the old one. Happy celebration.
Thank you for reading my blog and see you the next year.

Hello, everyone. My week started perfectly. Together with my colleagues, we celebrated the eight of December (student fest in Bulgaria). We had a great party in one house in the countryside around Varna. The village is called Asparuhovo.

The house was on the coast of the Tsonevo lake. The view of the sunset was amazing from the garden of the house.

Everyone took a part in the organizing the party.  We all gather together and had an amazing dinner thanks to the girls, who were shopping and thanks to the guys, who made the barbecue.

On Tuesday we had a lecture about information technologies. I learned new function in excel.
On Wednesday I got stomach various. For this reason, I spent my Thursday in the bed.
On Friday we got a very important presentation in English classes. My presentation topic was traditional dishes in the Taiwanese cuisine. It was a pleasure to read about their national dish beef noodles. There is even an international beef noodle held in Taiwan every year.
My Saturday and Sunday I spent with my colleague Poli. We were writing the assignment about human resource management. It was challenging to find the information we need.
Thank you for reading my blog and see you next week.

Beers

Hello everyone. This week passed very fast. On Monday I was out of Varna. I had a great and peaceful time around the Rodopi mountains.
On Tuesday I was travelling back to Varna. Unfortunately, there was a big traffic on the highway, because of a reparation on the road. Therefore I missed one of my lectures
On Wednesday I was already at the university, ready for new adventures. In the evening we had our human resources lectures. It was very interesting and the time flew away.
On Thursday we had classes with our chef. We were designing a menu for a beer company. We had to create three different menus with a different price range. Therefore we had to try and evaluate the beers. It was a new experience for me, I hadn't made a beer tasting before. I learned a lot about the colours, smell, taste.

On Friday it was a student's day for Bulgaria. I spend the day in writing articles for the wine. The evening I celebrated with my colleagues.
On Saturday I finished the articles.
Thank you for reading my blog and see you next week.

Sunday, 3 December 2017

Hello everyone. My week started with preparation for the presentation for the introduction to tourism and hospitality.
Tuesday I ate lunch at the Culinary Arts Institute restaurant. Every week from Tuesday until Thursday there is lunch, which is prepared from the 3rd year students. The menu was simple but delicious. For the main course, there were mini pizzas with ricotta cheese and cherry tomatoes.

For dessert, it was served apple rose, that was made from puff pastry dough and apples, sugar, cinnamon. The smell of cinnamon reminded me of the coming holiday and especially for Christmas.
The beverage was basil soup. It was very refreshing.

On Wednesday I was helping to one of my colleagues with an organization of one event. We spend the whole day at the university.
On Thursday was the presentation for the introduction to tourism. I spend the day to improve my speech. At 18:00 I and the girls from the team went to present and everything was great. We didn't have a problem with presenting.
On Friday I was helping with cutting wine labels. The labels were for the special edition wine, that was given as a present of the Saturday event "Bulgarian wine and cheese".
Thank you for reading my blog, see you next week.

Jurassic night

Hello, everyone. This week was fulfilled with a lot of emotions. We had an event at the university with the theme "Jurassic night". The dinner was for kids with parents. Unfortunately, now is the season for different viruses and a lot of the reservations were cancelled. With the help of our chef, the second of two sittings was full.
I and two of my colleagues were responsible for every part of the organization. On Wednesday we did testing of the menu. That helped us to make the menu better. On Thursday we did the shopping.
I was very excited on Saturday about the dinner. Until the service, I went through many different emotions. On the first sitting showed up only one of colleagues with her kid. She told me her kid liked the menu and that made me very happy.
On the second sitting, most of the guest were students from the Culinary Arts Institute. Everyone had a great fun and enjoyed the menu.

It was a three-course menu. The starter was pumpkin croquettes with yoghurt sauce.

The main course was pork ribs with BBQ sauce and Pont Neuf potatoes for garnish.

The dessert was brownie dinosaurs, chocolate egg, chocolate leaves and swiss meringue.

Thank you for reading my blog and see you next week.
